Mrs. Lucille Marie Jones (nee: Bolton), of Warrenton, passed away on Sunday, March 26. She was born on January 21, 1923, in Warrenton to the late Clinton and Caroline (nee: Wehrman) Bolton. Lucille had reached the age of 100 years.
Lucille was united in marriage to Billie Jones on February 7, 1942, in Jonesburg. This union was blessed with two children, Donald and Brenda. She was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family. She was an active member of Faith United Methodist Church and Central Grove Methodist Church for several years. Lucille enjoyed working on the farm and working in her garden. She also spent time doing quilting and embroidering. Lucille's greatest joy came from her time spent with her daughter and son-in-law and three grandchildren. Lucille was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many.
Lucille Jones was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billie; her son, Donald Jones; her parents, Clinton and Caroline; four sisters, Ina Meyer, Doris Gloe, Belva Carroz, and Evelyn Bolton; two brothers, Herbert Bolton and Elger Bolton. She is survived by her caring daughter, Brenda Kuhn and husband Fred; three grandchildren, Patrick Kuhn and wife Tracy, Melissa Waggoner and husband Brian, Tyler Kuhn and wife Monica; three great-grandchildren, Annabeth, Haley, and Parker; one sister-in-law, Bennie; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
We will have a Celebration of Life for Lucille Marie Jones on Friday, March 31, from 10 A.M. - 11:30 A.M. at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. We will then honor her life with a service at 11:30 A.M., with Pastor Gene Moeller officiating, also at the funeral home. A burial will follow at the Warrenton City Cemetery. Memorial donations in honor of Lucille are suggested to Central Grove Methodist Church of Truxton, c/o Martin Funeral Home.
