Warrenton Police Department Report for Sept. 9-22

Monday, Sept. 9

NE Service Road/Waters Edge Drive, accident private property.  An officer responded to Creekside Apartments in regards to a private property accident.  Dispatch advised that an individual had hit the power lines with a tractor trailer.  Through conversation with the driver, he was operating the vehicle and did not realize that the vehicle was too tall to fit under the power lines.  Officer observed damage to the front of the trailer, damage to three poles that hold the power lines, the gutter on the side of the apartment building and further damage that the Ameren supervisor sent photos of.

Thursday, Sept. 12

N Highway 47/Interstate 70 Overpass, accident.  An officer was dispatched to the intersection of State Highway 47 and the westbound entrance ramp of Interstate 70, mile marker 193, for a reported vehicular collision.  After clearing the scene of the accident, it was discovered that driver one’s license was suspended.  Due to his driving privileges being suspended during the time of the vehicular collision he was involved in, the following summons was completed:  Driving while revoked or driving while suspended.

Saturday, Sept. 14

State Highway 47/Flora Avenue, operating motor vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility.  While conducting standard patrol, an officer observed a vehicle without plates and initiated a traffic stop at State Highway 47 and Flora Avenue.  Driver provided his driver’s license, but was unable to provide valid proof of insurance.  Driver returned with three warrants out of Truesdale, MO.  The driver was booked into the jail and received a citation.

Sunday, Sept. 15

Steinhagen Road, accident.  An officer was dispatched to 902 North Steinhagen Road for a non-injury motor vehicle accident.  Both vehicles relocated in the parking lot of Pizza Hut after the collision.  Damage to vehicle two was moderate and located just behind the front-left tire and a significant dent was made in the driver’s door.  Both vehicles did not have any airbag deployments and did not require tow from the scene.  Both drivers declined the need for EMS and did not have any injuries.

S State Highway 47, accident.  An officer was dispatched to the area of Warrior Avenue and State Highway 47 for a non-injury motor vehicle accident.  Vehicle one was yielding to the right on Northbound State Highway 47 for an oncoming ambulance along with several other vehicles, including vehicle 2.  After the ambulance passed, vehicle one believed the other vehicles were resuming travel and collided with vehicle two by accident.  Damage to vehicle one was significant across the entire front bumper, hood, grill and undercarriage, ultimately rendering vehicle one inoperable with fluids leaking.  Vehicle one did not have any airbag deployments and was towed from the secondary location by Prime Towing due to disabling damage.  Damage to vehicle two was moderate and isolated to the entirety of the rear bumper.  Vehicle two did not have any airbag deployments and was capable of leaving the secondary location without tow.
