Warrenton Police Department report for Sept. 23 to Oct. 6

Monday, Sept. 23

NE Service Road, single vehicle accident.  Officer responded to mile marker 194.2 Westbound Interstate 70 for a single vehicle accident.  The driver stated they were driving and hydroplaned off the highway, hitting the sign and ending in the ditch.  The driver was not injured and the vehicle was towed.

Thursday, Sept. 26

Arlington Way, single motor vehicle accident.  A semi-truck with an affixed trailer rolled over/overturned.  The driver of the vehicle ran off the road several hundred feet before the final resting point.  The vehicle struck the median fence supporting the physical median and struck the on-ramp exit sign at the 193.0 mile marker causing severe damage to the sign, crushing and bending it to the ground.  Observations of damage were severe, tipping over on its passenger side with the trailer tipped over as well, but still attached to the truck.  Skyline Diesel arrived on scene and towed the vehicle.

Thursday, Oct. 3

N State Highway 47, two vehicle accident.  Driver one was making a left turn into the gas station and thought it was clear to proceed.  Driver two stated driver one was slowing in the lane next to the turn lane, so they got in the turn lane to get to the light.  Driver one turned left into the passenger rear of his vehicle.  Vehicle one had damage to the driver’s side front bumper and quarter panel.  Vehicle two had damage to the rear passenger side.  

Friday, Oct. 4

N State Highway 47, two vehicle accident. Driver one turned northbound into the center lane of State Highway 47 from Taco Bell and while doing so a vehicle heading southbound appeared to be traveling at a high pace of speed.  As she believed the vehicle was going to strike her, she swerved further into the center turn lane and side swiped the vehicle two.  Driver two was driving northbound in lane one of State Highway 47 and vehicle one had merged from the center lane into the driver side of his vehicle.  Both drivers confirmed they had not sustained any injuries from the accident.  Vehicle one sustained damage to the front passenger side bumper and fender.  Vehicle two sustained damage to the driver side of the vehicle.

N State Highway 47/Westbound Interstate 70, two vehicle accident.  Driver one stated she was driving northbound on State Highway 47.  As driver one approached the intersection of the westbound on-ramp, they advised they had a green light and began turning onto the on-ramp.  In doing so, driver two collided into the passenger side of driver one’s vehicle.  Driver two stated she was driving northbound on State Highway 47.  As driver two approached the intersection, driver one turned in front of vehicle two.  Driver two was unable to slow down in time and ultimately collided into vehicle one.  Driver one and both occupants of vehicle two received medical care from EMS for minor injuries.
