Katherine Rose Kelly passed away on October 11, at the age of 96. Katherine was born June 26, 1928 in Camden, TN to the late Clarence and Dola Willeford nee Sayles.
Katherine married the love of her life John Richard Kelly on November 1, 1947, and they celebrated 33 years of marriage before his passing in June 1980 in California where they were living at the time. Together they enjoyed taking road trips in their camper. Katherine was a member of TOPS for 25 years. She enjoyed crocheting where she made numerous afghans and gifts for everyone, loved cooking for her family, and spending time with her grandchildren. Katherine especially loved her beloved dogs.
Katherine is survived by her son, Michael (Sandy) Kelly of Wright City, MO; daughter, Susan (Jim) Horstmeier of St. Peters, MO; brother, Everett Willeford of Mehlville, MO; sister, Sherry Nanney of Wentzville, MO; five grandchildren, Lucas (Samantha) Kelly, John Kelly, Richard Kelly, Samuel (Sierra) Horstmeier; granddaughter, Sarah Horstmeier; 2 great-grandchildren, Dakota and Alanah Kelly. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law, Bob Nanney, and sister-in-law, Betty Willeford. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held Friday, October 18, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, in Warrenton. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Trinity Cemetery Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in care of Pitman Funeral Home.
