A pair of Warrenton soccer players received all-conference honors.

Warrenton senior Coryn Higby and junior Kylie Overkamp were recently named to the GAC North soccer teams.

Higby was the lone Lady Warrior to be named to the GAC North first team. She also was named to the Class 3, District 4 first team. Higby was a regular defensive starter for the Lady Warriors this season. Higby scored two goals this season. She also was a versatile player for Warrenton, playing goalie in their district tournament game to end the season.

“Coryn has been a varsity starter all three years she played,” Warrenton girls soccer coach Amy Wargowsky said. “She was always willing to play where we most needed her and would give everything she had on the field.”

Overkamp was named to the GAC North second team as a midfielder. Overkamp finished tied for the team lead this season with nine goals. She also had three assists for the Lady Warriors.

“Kylie has also been a varsity starter all three seasons she has played,” Wargowsky said. “She is the aggressive player you wished you had more of.  She was also willing to play other positions when the need arose.”

Autumn Bledsoe, Princess Cullom, Coryn Higby, Allison Duncan, Zoe Klaus, Camryn Petersmeyer, Lana Le, Morgan Marschel, Isabelle Morris, Haley Rausch, Meredith Donovan and Emma Duncan were all named to the GAC North all-academic team. Klaus received the sportsmanship award.
