Mr. Carl Charles Jacquin, of Marthasville, passed away on Sunday, July 14. He was born on January 20, 1936 in Bonnets Mill, MO, to the late Frank and Nora (nee: Groves) Jacquin. Carl had reached the age of 88 years.
Carl proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corp. He was united in marriage to Carol Marie Sander on October 24, 1959 at St. Ignatius of Loyola in Concord Hill. They spent 64 wonderful years together and to this union four children were born. Carl was a long time member of St. Ignatius church and was part of the Men's Solidarity group at St. Ignatius. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing. He had a very special bond with his dog "Critter". They were inseparable friends. Carl was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed.
Carl was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol, sadly, only one day prior to his passing; his parents, Frank and Nora; six siblings, Leonard Jacquin, Clifford Jacquin, Donald Jacquin, Durverd Jacquin, Ruth Richter and Iona Maune. He is survived by his children, Geralyn Smith and husband Jim, Gerard Jacquin and wife Susan, Veronica Hill and husband Chris, Mark Jacquin and wife Vicki; 8 grandchildren, Nicole Shockley (Robert), Jessica Klocke (Zack), Courtney Huxel (Michael), Karissa Hill (Matt Kinnunen), Isabella Hill, Colton Hill, Tyler Jacquin, Olivia Jacquin; 3 great grandchildren, Maddison, Parker and Spencer; one brother, Harvey Jacquin (Leona); other relatives and many close family friends.
Carl's family will be hosting a dual visitation for Carl and Carol on Thursday, July 18, at Martin Funeral Home in Marthasville from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M. There will be a Mass held for them on Friday, July 19, at St. Ignatius of Loyola in Concord Hill beginning at 10 A.M. Following the service will be a burial at the church cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to be given to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in honor of Carol and Carl Jacquin. Memorial donations can also be given at www.martinfuneral.net
