The Wright City Community Food Pantry is in the process of purchasing the property and building it currently leases, Pastor Joe Purl announced at the end of the the Wright City Board of Aldermen meeting on Dec. 14.
“We’re very excited about that,” Purl said. “The Lord’s opened some doors for us to continue to serve our community and continue to develop that as the city develops and grows.”
The food pantry at 217 E. First Street North is open from 9 a.m. to noon the second and fourth Saturdays of the month and from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays. It has been at that location since November 2020, when it moved from its temporary building behind the Wright City Church of the Nazarene.
The Wright City Community Food Pantry was founded in 2016.
For more information, call the food pantry at 636-295-0540.
