Wildcats earn EMO wins

The Wright City baseball team cruised to three conference wins and extended their winning streak to seven games earlier this week. 

Wright City won their first home conference game last week with a 12-2 win over Silex in five innings. In the win over the Owls, Wright City had eight players register at least one hit. Zach Rodriguez and Hayden Waters had two hits. Waters had two of Wright City’s four doubles. Rodriguez led the Wildcats with three RBIs. Nick Moore led the Wildcats with three runs scored and four stolen bases. Waters and Jake Orf also stole multiple bases. The Wildcats had 11 stolen bases as a team. Jake Mitts earned the win for Wright City. He pitched four innings and allowed one earned run. He struck out seven Silex batters in the win. Micah Boeckman pitched one scoreless inning and struck out two batters. 

Wright City followed up their win over Silex with a 15-0 win over Van-Far in three innings. The Wildcats pounded 14 hits, 12 of which were singles in the win. Boeckman and Moore led the Wildcats with three hits each. Boeckman also led the Wildcats with four RBIs. Orf and Devin Foust also had multiple RBIs. Moore led Wright City with three runs scored. Boeckman, Mitts, Orf, Duan McRoberts and Blaine Niemann all scored two runs. Orf led Wright City with three stolen bases. Mitts, Moore and Waters each stole two bases. Wright City stole 13 bases as a team. Bryce Williams earned the win on the mound for Wright City. He allowed two hits and struck out three Van-Far batters in three shutout innings. 

Wright City earned a 15-0 win over Mark Twain Tuesday. The Wildcats won the game in three innings. Jake Mitts, Nick Moore and Jake Orf each had two hits. The Wildcats recorded 11 hits in the game. Moore, Orf, Micah Boeckman and Devis Foust each had two RBIs. 

Boeckman and Waters combined for a shutout. Boeckman pitched two shutout innings to earn the win.  Waters pitched one shutout inning for the Wildcats.
