Warrenton Police Department report for Oct. 9-15

The Warrenton Police Department released the following weekly incident report for the dates of October 9 through October 15. 

Tuesday, October 10

  • Two vehicle accident. Vehicle Two was stopped due to traffic congestion. Vehicle One collided with the rear of Vehicle Two. No injuries reported. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.  

Friday, October 13

  • Single vehicle accident. Vehicle One was driving Westbound on Interstate 70. An unknown vehicle merged into Vehicle One’s lane. Vehicle One went into the median to avoid a collision. Severe damage to the median barrier fencing. Reported to MODOT for repair. No damage to Vehicle One. No injuries reported. Vehicle was driven from the scene.
  • Two vehicle accident. Vehicle Two was slowing to a stop on Eastbound Interstate 70. Vehicle One collided with the rear of the towed unit of Vehicle Two. No injuries reported. Vehicle Two was driven from scene. Vehicle One was towed due to air bag deployment. 
  • Two vehicle accident. While exiting the off ramp of Interstate 70 , Vehicle One’s tires went off the road. Vehicle One then struck the rear right side of a towed unit on the back of Vehicle Two. No injuries reported. Both vehicles were driven from the scene. 

Saturday, October 14

  • Store employee witnessed a female tag switching and skip scanning. Once past the final point of sale the female was apprehended. Estimated cost of loss $ 59.82. Citation issued for stealing.
