Warrenton aldermen approved a permit to allow for a new baseball training facility to be built in the city.

The site plan for the new facility to be built on North Market Street south of the railroad tracks was also approved.

No additional information was available about the new training center.

Also during the meeting, aldermen approved an ordinance requiring any businesses within 100 feet of Interstate 70 to have at least 50 percent of its floor space dedicated to retail sales.

Aldermen also approved a permit and site plan for a new rental equipment business at 1029 Armory Road and the final plat for the new Forestdale subdivision near Hawthorn Hills.

All ordinances passed the board 5-0. Board of Aldermen President Jack Crump was absent.
