He beat Leeam Gathright of North Callaway and Landon Jones of Metro-East Lutheran. After falling to STEAM Academy wrestler Tre-Vyon Chatman, he beat Anthony Ross of McCluer on an 8-6 decision to secure a second place finish.

He beat STEAM Academy wrestler Henry Bryan, Metro-East Lutheran wrestler Caleb Probasco and McCluer wrestler Camron Hooks. He dropped a match to Jason Jones of New Madrid County on a 15-2 decision in his final match.

Joseph Beitel also went 3-2 during the tournament. He placed fifth in the 144-pound weight class. Beitel earned a pair of wins in his first four matches before competing in the fifth place match. Beitel beat John Burroughs wrestler Luke Hohenberg by fall in 3:16 in the fifth place match.
