Mr. Richard George Carroz of Wright City, passed away on Friday, July 7, at the age of 79 years. He was born on December 5, 1943, in Warrenton to the late Albert and Elizabeth (nee: Pillar) Carroz.
Richard was united in marriage to Sheron Kathleen Roofe on February 15, 1964, in High Hill. They celebrated 59 wonderful years together. This union was blessed with two sons, Kevin and Keith. Richard worked as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed being outside tinkering in his yard and in his garage. He and Kathleen are members of the Church of Christ in Foristell. Richard was a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend to many.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Elizabeth; three siblings, Earl Carroz, Donald Carroz and Mary Ann Futhey. Surviving family members include his loving wife, Kathleen Carroz; two sons, Kevin Carroz and Arlene Kaminski and Keith Carroz and wife Janice; one grandchild, Sydney Carroz; seven siblings, Barbara Morrison, Betty Good (Jerry), Stanley Carroz (Mary), Virginia Gotsch, Sally Thurman, Sandy Carroz and Dennis Carroz (Sue); several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
The family of Richard Carroz will host a celebration of his life on Wednesday, July 12, 10 A.M. - 12 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. They will then honor his life with a funeral ceremony, beginning at 12 P.M. also at the funeral home. A committal service will follow at the Warrenton City Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to be given to the Children's Homes, INC. in Paragould, AR.
