Letter: FFA has positive impact

Posted

To the Editor,

We should acknowledge the positive effects that all FFA programs have in our community.  Therefore, I would like to congratulate all educators, alumni, volunteers, and members of our Warrenton FFA Chapter.  Your sacrifice, dedication and commitment, are truly admirable.

All courses of development provided by this outstanding organization are nothing short of highly successful.  Young men and women of our community can directly relate to the variety of curriculum that FFA supports.

Ag Construction, Ag Business, Advanced Animal Science, and Industrial Trades courses and events, add a multitude of positive values to our households, communities, and schools. This time-tested and true legacy of community service and achievement will continue to promote and advance our future generations.

I have witnessed this positive impact firsthand, through our own trap shooting program.  In a time when weaponized assaults continue to occupy our daily news, we have in our very own backyard community, a group of young men and woman who not only embrace the responsibility of firearm safety,  but respect and enjoy it, too.   A testimonial to the values and benefits of the whole FFA syllabus.

Not supporting the continuation of these advantageous, and essential FFA programs and resources, limits educational opportunities that would promote civic and career development for the youth of our community.
