Liberty Christian cruised to a 28-point win over Quincy Home School Tuesday night. 

Liberty Christian (5-17) beat Quincy Home School 62-34. Ten different Eagle players scored in the win. 

Liberty Christian nearly held Quincy Home School scoreless in the first quarter and led 19-2 after the opening quarter. They outscored Quincy Home School 15-7 in the second quarter to lead 34-9 at halftime. After Liberty Christian was outscored 17-10 in the third quarter, the Eagles outscored Quincy Home School 18-8 in the fourth quarter. 

Freshman Willie Mueller and senior Zach Dames both reached double figures in points in the win. Mueller led the Eagles with 11 points. He also secured a team-high 12 rebounds. Dames scored 10 points. Jack Duvel and Phoenix Oberman scored nine points for Liberty Christian. Duvel led Liberty Christian with six assists. 

The win came after Liberty Christian fell to Bourbon 63-44 last week. The Eagles led 14-10 after one quarter and trailed 30-25 at halftime. Bourbon outscored Liberty Christian 33-19 in the second half. 

Mueller also led the Eagles in scoring in last week’s loss with 11 points. Duvel added eight points and led the Eagles with four steals. Eighth grader Levi Coovert led Liberty Christian with seven rebounds. Dames led the Eagles with four assists. 

Lady Eagles beat Bourbon

Liberty Christian Academy earned a win over Bourbon High School last week. 

Liberty Christian (16-6) won their third consecutive game last week with a 74-43 road win over Bourbon. The Lady Eagles jumped out to a 44-21 halftime lead in the win. They extended their lead by outscoring Bourbon 25-13 in the third quarter. 

Anna Meyer and Lauren Moss combined to connect on nine three-point field goals. Meyer led the Lady Eagles with 35 points. Moss added 23 points for Liberty Christian. Kylee Ball registered a double-double for the Lady Eagles. She finished the game with 13 points and 11 rebounds. She also led the Lady Eagles with eight steals. Alli Meyer led Liberty Christian with eight assists. 

Liberty Christian dropped their opening game of the Hermann Tournament Monday. They fell to Owensville 89-22. Moss led Liberty Christian with 12 points. 

The Lady Eagles fell to New Haven 67-38  in their second game of the Hermann Tournament. Liberty Christian trailed 33-20 at halftime. The Lady Eagles werew outscored 34-18 in the second half. Alli Meyer registered a double-double in the loss. She led Liberty Christian with 16 points and 13 rebounds. She also led Liberty Christian with four assists. Anna Meyer scored 12 points. Moss added 10 points and led the Lady Eagles with six steals.
