Janis Wright

Mrs. Janis Wright (nee: Juergensmeyer), of Warrenton, passed away on Monday, March 27. She was born on December 16, 1932, in St. Louis, to the late Alvin H. and Alice (nee: Delventhal) Juergensmeyer. Janis had reached the age of 90 years.

Janis was united in marriage to Don Wright on September 7, 1957, in Warrenton. To this union, two children were born. She earned her bachelor's Degree and worked as a teacher for several years. Janis and Don were members of College United Methodist Church in Warrenton. Janis enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She played cards on a regular basis with several of her friends. Janis also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching old movies, and traveling. She was also an avid reader. Janis was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many.

Janis Wright was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin H. and Alice; two brothers-in-law, Larry Luecke and Bill Mobley; one sister-in-law, Jean Mobley. She is survived by her husband, Don Wright; one son, Michael Wright, and wife Cindy; one daughter, Michele Lee, and husband Dave; four grandchildren, Anna, Stephanie, Jordann, and Jami; three great-grandchildren, Xander, Thomas, and Evelyn; one sister, Gail Luecke; one brother, Alvin "Bud" Juergensmeyer, Jr., and wife Diane; other relatives and many close friends.

A visitation for Janis Wright will be held on Friday, March 31, from 3:30 P.M. - 7 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 1, at College United Methodist Church, beginning at 11 A.M. Memorial donations are requested to be made in lieu of flowers to College United Methodist Church where Janis attended for 90 years. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
