The board announced they had finally hired a new city clerk at their May 14 meeting. The village's sole employed position had been empty since the previous clerk, Carla Ayala, departed suddenly.
Jackie Kemp of Warrenton will take over the position and the village offices will be open again, albeit with limited hours. Kemp will be available at the office Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The board also continues their search for an appointee to fill Mike Lyles' seat. Per the village ordinances, the current board members are to appoint a replacement. Chairman Dan Reuter explained that there is an application available online and invited all Innsbrook residents to apply before the deadline on May 31.
From there he has said the board will conduct interviews and review candidates to find a new trustee.
