Hoodies and hygiene drive Nov. 29

Care to Learn is sponsoring a hoodies and hygiene drive for students on Giving Tuesday this year, Nov. 29.

Donations will be accepted at the Warrenton Cinema on Tuesday, Nov. 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donation boxes will also be set up at each of the Warrenton school buildings throughout the week of Nov. 28 (including Care Day), and also at First State Community Bank in Warrenton throughout the entire month of November.

New coats, new hoodies and unopened hygiene products will be accepted. Participants may also “sponsor” a hoodie for $25 each by mailing a check or cash to 385 W. Veterans Memorial Parkway, or by Venmo @Careto-Learn with “Warrenton Hoodie” written in the comment.

Items needed are new coats for younger students, sizes child XS to adult S (especially sizes 7/8 and 14/16); new hoodies for older students, sizes adult S-2XL; and hygiene products including soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, feminine care products, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hairbrushes, combs, hair ties, mouthwash, deodorant, hand sanitizer, shaving cream and floss.
