Hill, Payne named to GAC North first team

Three Warrenton basketball players and head coach Hannah Logan all received GAC North honors for their roles in helping the Lady Warriors to the GAC North title. 

Junior Nevaeh Hill and senior Audrey Payne were both named to the GAC North first team. Junior Isabel Benke was named to the second team. Head coach Hannah Logan was named the GAC North Coach of the Year. 

Hill, who was also named to the Class 5, District 4 team, averaged over 13 points per game in seven conference games this season. She secured over seven rebounds per game in conference games. She led Warrenton with over 12 points and seven rebounds per game in 16 games this season. 

Payne averaged over eight points per game over 10 conference games. She finished fourth in the conference with 25 assists in conference play. She logged 53 assists in 23 games this season. 

Benke was named to the GAC North second team in her first season as a regular starter for the Lady Warriors. She scored seven points per game in 22 games this season.

Logan was named the GAC North coach of the year in her first year at the helm of the Warrenton girls basketball program. Logan led the Lady Warriors to a perfect 10-0 conference record. Warrenton finished last season 5-3 in the GAC North 

Benke, Zoe Klaus, Kaelyn Meyer, Sophi Mueller, Payne and Kendall Taylor received GAC North all-academic honors. Mueller was the Warrenton representative to receive the GAC North sportsmanship award.
