Dolores A Cook

Dolores A "Dode" Cook of Warrenton, passed away on January 13,  at her home surrounded by family at the age of 90.  
 
Dode was born June 15, 1932, at St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis, to Wilford and Anita Mills nee Dust. Dode was baptized in July 1932, at St. Frances DeSales. Dolores was united in marriage to Robert H. Cook on August 9, 1952, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Wentzville and they celebrated 61 years of marriage before his passing in 2013.
 
Dode is survived by her children, Lynn (Joe) Gmeiner of Warrenton, and  Jeff  (Cathy) Cook of Bakersfield, CA; three grandchildren, Joshua (Danielle) Gmeiner of Troy, Landry Cook of Bakersfield, CA, and  Lindsey Cook of Nashville, TN;  Dode is preceded in death by her father, Wilford  Mills, mother, Anita Ann Mills, husband, Robert Cook.  
 
Dode was a member Holy Rosary Catholic Church since 1947. Dode and Robert lived in several places in 1951 Robert enlisted in the military and they were married in 1952 where they then moved to Savannah, GA, then to Lexington, KY, then moved to Wright City and called that home for several years. Dode will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
 
The visitation will be held Saturday, January 21,  from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Warrenton. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with burial at Wright City Cemetery in Wright City.     
 
Memorials can be made to Holy Rosary School in care of Pitman Funeral Home.
