Catherine R. McDaniel passed away on February 24, at the age of 86. Cathy was born September 9, 1937 in Conway, AR to the late Howard and Rubie Goodsell.
Cathy was united in marriage to Gordon McDaniel on November 23, 1961 and they celebrated 48 years together until Gordon's passing in 2010. To this union Gordon and Cathy added 2 children Tim and Jennifer. Cathy graduated from Missouri Baptist in 1960, as a registered nurse and continued working as a registered nurse for over 30 years. Cathy had a love for gardening, canning and fishing. She enjoyed being outside in nature. During her travels she enjoyed touring lighthouses. Cathy's favorite quote is " Life is what you make it with God's help, Enjoy the fun times." She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her Son, Tim R. McDaniel; Daughter, Jennifer R. Conley of Robertsville, MO; Two Brothers, Eugene (Kathleen) Goodsell, Earl Goodsell; Sister, Lovilla McClanahan; grandson, Brandon Conley; 2 granddaughters, Jessica Loudis and Courtney Conley, 1 great-grandchild, Camp; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Howard Goodsell, Mother, Rubie Goodsell, Husband, Gordon McDaniel, Brother, Tommy Goodsell, Brother, Elwood Goodsell, brother, Charles Goodsell.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 28, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, in Wright City. The funeral will be Thursday, February 29, at 11 a.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, Wright City. Memorials can be made to Missouri Baptist Children's Home in care of Pitman Funeral Home.
