Carol Marie Jacquin

Mrs. Carol Marie Jacquin (nee: Sander) of Marthasville, passed away on Saturday, July 13. She was born on September 18, 1941 in Washington, MO, to the late Albert and Veronica (nee: Glosemeyer) Sander. Carol had reached the age of 82 years.

Carol was united in marriage to Carl Charles Jacquin on October 24, 1959 at St. Ignatius of Loyola in Concord Hill and they celebrated 64 wonderful years together. This union was blessed with four children, Geralyn, Gerard, Veronica and Mark. Carol was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at St. Ignatius and was also a long time member of the church. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, needlepoint and cross word puzzles. Carol was a loving and devoted, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. 

Carol Jacquin was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Veronica Sander; three siblings, Glennon Sander, Patty Sander and Janet Hepperman. She is survived by her husband, Carl, who passed the following day; her children, Geralyn Smith and husband Jim, Gerard Jacquin and wife Susan, Veronica Hill and husband Chris, Mark Jacquin and wife Vicki; 8 grandchildren, Nicole Shockley (Robert), Jessica Klocke (Zack), Courtney Huxel (Michael), Karissa Hill (Matt Kinnunen), Isabella Hill, Colton Hill, Tyler Jacquin and Olivia Jacquin; 3 great grandchildren, Maddison, Parker and Spencer; four siblings, Larry Sander, James Sander, Dennis Sander (Pat), Audrey Wagener (Marc); other relatives and many close family friends.

Carol's family will be hosting a dual visitation for Carol and Carl on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Martin Funeral Home in Marthasville from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M. There will be a Mass held for them on Friday, July 19, at  St. Ignatius of Loyola in Concord Hill beginning at 10 A.M. Following the service will be a burial at the church cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to be given to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in honor of Carol and Carl Jacquin. Memorial donations can also be given at www.martinfuneral.net
