Brian James Vogel, 48, of Rhineland, MO, passed away Monday, May 30, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Washington. Brian was born in Hermann on July 4, 1973, the son of Bobbie L. & Evelyn Faye (Gloe) Vogel. He was the husband of Jana (Zumsteg) Vogel. They were united in marriage on August 3, 2002, at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Hermann.
Brian was a self-employed carpenter. He previously worked for Zumsteg Construction Company of Rhineland. Brian enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, especially Mopar Cars, going to car shows and spending time with family, especially his children.
Brian is survived by his father, Bobbie Vogel, of Hermann; his wife, Jana Vogel, and two children, Karley & Holt Vogel, all of the home; two sisters, Candice Isaac of Millstadt, IL, and Denise Kennedy and husband Kevin of Morrison, MO; a brother, Donald Vogel & wife Christina of Wellsville, MO; brothers & sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Vogel, and a son, Blake Vogel.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 3, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will also be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Matt Wheeler officiating. Burial will be at Loutre Island Cemetery in McKittrick, MO. Memorials may be given to a college fund for Brian's children. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
