Warrenton junior Troy Anderson was recently named to the GAC North and Class 5, District 4 teams.
Anderson led Warrenton to their first district tournament win in five years en route to being named to the Class 5, District 4 team. Anderson led the Warriors with 19 points in their comeback win over Ft. Zumwalt East in the district quarterfinals. He added six rebounds in the win. Anderson scored 17 points in Warrenton’s loss to eventual district champion Westminster Christian Academy in the district semifinals.
Anderson was also earned GAC North first team all-conference honors. Anderson was one of five players named to the first team. Anderson finished with over 17 points per game over 10 conference games. He nearly averaged five rebounds per game in conference.
Anderson finished the season with nearly 18 points per game and over five rebounds per game for the Warriors. Warrenton won 12 games this past season, their highest win total in five seasons.
Anderson, Kannon Hibbs, Eli Peth, Maison Rader and Evan Schenck all received GAC North all-academic honors. Senior Deacon Forrest was selected as Warrenton’s representative for the GAC North sportsmanship award.
