Warrenton teens hurt in southern state crash

Two juveniles from Warrenton were injured in a Friday evening crash in southern Missouri.

The 13-year-old boys, whose names were not provided by the Missouri Highway Patrol, were passengers in a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu that overturned along a gravel road in rural Texas County on July 24. 

According to a highway patrol report, one of the juveniles had moderate injuries and was air lifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The other had minor injuries and was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital.

Both juveniles were wearing seat belts, the highway patrol said.

The driver of the vehicle, Austin A. Schneider, 17, of Montgomery City, was not injured and was wearing a seat belt, according to the patrol report.

The Malibu was traveling on a gravel road 5 miles north of Cabool, Mo., when it ran off the left side of the road and overturned around 5:30 p.m. July 24, the highway patrol said.
