Presidential primary is March 10; register by Feb. 12

Missouri’s presidential primary election is March 10, 2020, when voters will choose which candidates in each party to nominate for the office of U.S. president.

Voters who wish to participate in the primary elections must be registered to vote by Feb. 12.

To register, go online to, or visit the Warren County Clerk’s office at 101 Mockingbird Lane, suite 302. The clerk’s office will be closed Feb. 12, so those who wish to register there must do so by Feb. 11.

The presidential primary is the only election scheduled for March 10. To participate, voters must declare a party preference and then vote on the appropriate ballot.

Voters who aren’t able to vote on March 10 can cast an absentee ballot at the Warren County Clerk’s office. Absentee voting will be open until March 7.

Four candidates are listed on the Republican Party primary ballot alongside President Donald Trump.

There are 22 candidates listed on the Democratic Party primary ballot, although only a dozen remain active in the presidential race since registering to appear on the ballot.
