Mr. Robert Louis Witte

Mr. Robert Louis Witte, of Warrenton, MO passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021. He was born on May 17, 1926, to the late Frederick and Lillian (nee: Phillips) Witte. Robert had reached the age of 94 years 7 months and 22 days.

Robert was a lifelong resident of Warren County. After high school, he attended college for a short time, then decided to serve our country in the United States Navy during WWII. Robert enjoyed taking trips to South Dakota to go pheasant and quail hunting. He also liked to tinker with guns in his spare time. He owned several rifles and shotguns. Robert had his pilot license for many years and enjoyed flying his Piper Warrior Airplane. Robert also served the Warren County community as an alderman and worked in the parks department for the City of Warrenton. He also served on the Warren County Ambulance Board. Robert was a member of Frieden's United Church of Christ in Warrenton.

Robert Witte was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Lillian; his first wife, Ruby Eleanor Witte; his 2nd wife, Edith Murphy Witte; one brother, Harry Witte; one sister, Ruby Painter. Those grateful for having shared in his life are his children, Natalie Kimmons, Beverley Weyerich and husband Danny, Tom Murphy and wife Debbie, Kelli Boruff and husband Mike; nine grandchildren, Jason Weyerich, Amy Mayo (Josh), Kate Cook (Jeremy), Dustin Weyerich, Ty Murphy, Regan Shaffer, Molly Murphy, Kaitlyn Taylor, Daniel Boruff; five great-grandchildren, Bella, Hannah, Taylor, Evie, Luke; one brother, Howard Witte and wife Maxine; other relatives and many friends.

A visitation for Mr. Robert Witte will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Lippstadt Cemetery in Warrenton with full military honors.
