A woman from Marthasville and one other person died Friday, Nov. 29, after sustaining fatal injuries in a crash on Highway D in St. Charles County.

Robyn P. Schupp, 54, of Marthasville, and Barb A. Boeshansz, 63, of Obetz, Ohio, were traveling near the Busch Wildlife Conservation Area when the 2005 Jeep Liberty driven by Schupp crashed into a vehicle traveling the opposite direction, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The highway patrol alleged Schupp was driving too fast for the conditions that morning, causing her vehicle to skid across the center line and crash at 9:13 a.m.

Schupp was transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis. She was pronounced deceased at 12:18 p.m., according to the highway patrol. Boeshansz was taken to Progress West Hospital and was pronounced deceased at 10:17 a.m.

The driver of the other vehicle, Rosalie A. Smith, 55, of Marthasville, suffered serious injuries, the highway patrol said. She was transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

The patrol said all three people were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
