John Edward Palitzsch

Mr. John Edward Palitzsch, 72, Wright City, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020, at his home. John was born on November 11, 1946, in St. Louis County to Vernon A. and Georgia F. (nee: Asher) Palitzsch.
John served our country in the United States Navy. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Ann Smith on January 25, 1969, in Warrenton. To this union two children were born, Tom and Vicki. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and playing softball. John was known as "Doppler John" an Amateur Meteorologist. He also enjoyed woodworking and hunting for mushrooms. John loved spending time with his grandchildren, his brother Rich, and riding around town with his dog Todd.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Georgia; two brothers, George Lanzone and Rich Palitzsch. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; his children, Tom Palitzsch and wife Missy, Vicki Gee and husband Toby; six grandchildren, Taylor Mikiska, Tyler Mikiska, Calliope Gee, Morgan Palitzsch, Mia Palitzsch, Cassidy Gee; two siblings, Ray Lanzone and Ron Palitzsch; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton, from 1-4 p.m.
Funeral services will also at the funeral home, at 4 p.m.
