To the Editor,
As an eighteen-year-old, I’m just diving into the real world as I gained the privilege to vote in October of 2021. I started looking into different candidates to change our county. I recently heard that Joe Holiway of Wright City was running for the House of Representatives in Section 42. Joe Holiway was a teacher of mine at Liberty Christian Academy for a couple of years, and he was a great teacher. He influenced many of our students including me for the better. He taught me personally history, but we learned more about hard work and the importance of our history. He was always someone I could go to for any question, and he was always willing to help. I believe that Mr. Holiway could be a great addition to our House of Representatives.
Mr. Holiway and I worked together one summer while I was off from school. I wasn’t surprised whenever I saw that he was the hard worker that he always wanted us students to be. He showed me he was a man of his word. He didn’t just say he was a hard worker, he showed it. I personally believe that Mr. Holiway would be a great candidate to represent our county. From the time I met Mr. Holiway, he was truthful, and I believe that honesty is the key to success. Mr. Holiway would represent the people of Warren County. He will be a great leader, and in my eyes, he would be a great attribution to the House of Representatives.
